Adam moves quietly through the bungalow. It's early; the sun's sitting just below the horizon, and the soft sage green and earth tones in the room are dark in the dim light. He goes to the double doors that lead out onto the back veranda and opens them wide. For a moment, he stands there, eyes closed as he breathes deep, clean salt air invigorating as it washes over his bare chest, shoulders, and arms.
He opens his eyes and slowly steps onto the smooth wood of the veranda. He leaves the doors open behind him as he moves to the railing, resting his palms against it and leaning forward. The white sand is a bluish pink in th

Tommy clutches Adam's hand between both of his, tears falling slowly over his skin, following trails left by all the others that he's shed over the last hour. He's sitting on the floor of the van, all the way in the back where Adam's laid out across the backseat. The vehicle rocks, engine revving as Landau speeds along the highway. Tommy couldn't give a flying fuck about safety or any of that shit. It doesn't matter. For the hundredth time, Tommy hopes with every ounce of his being that the "only hope" Landau mentioned back at the abandoned building works.
Monte hasn't said much since then. He's preoccupied, and Tommy vaguely suspects it has

Relief turns Adam into a shaking mess when he sees Monte. Pushing through the crowd, Adam throws himself at Monte. "Oh my god!" he exclaims brokenly. "Monte, I can't I can't find him! H-how're we-"
"Calm down, Adam," Monte says. "Relax. We're gonna find him, I promise."
"How?" Adam asks, imploring, looking for anything on which to hang his dying hope. Tommy's in a rage again. It's happening too fast and Adam has a deadly fear that they're going to be too late to stop Tommy from killing Price.
"Leave it to us," Monte says, and Adam finally notices a guy standing behind Monte, someone Adam's never seen before. Immediately Adam's warine

The night air is cool on Tommy's chilled skin. He stays close behind Nick as they move unnoticed through the angry mob of protesters outside of the building. There are a lot of people there: young and old, male and female, gay and straight, some holding posters, others calling out the people heading into the building, and a few are silent, tears and anger etched into their faces. One woman holds a huge sign in her hands with a picture of a teenage boy on it. The sign says, My son died because of people like William Price. Tommy's jaw tightens in anger.
"She's going to get justice," Nick says, noticing Tommy's attention on her. "They all will

Tommy can't sleep. Three a.m. finds him on his back, staring up at the ceiling, while Adam breathes soft and slow beside him. Adam's face is tucked into the curve where Tommy's neck and shoulder meet, an arm thrown across his chest and legs lined up with his under the sheets. He's warm; Adam's always been a furnace even without an ability adding to it. Tommy's more than comfortable. But sleep still eludes him in a tangled and frantic web of thoughts and dreams of the restless.
Tommy sighs and closes his eyes, tries to will himself to rest. He's used to running on next to no sleep. But this is more than a bout of insomnia. The night's going

Tommy opens his eyes to darkness, the only dim light from the streetlamps outside. He hears steady rain against the windows and closes his eyes, letting the relaxing beat of the drops lull him into contentment. He can already tell he's not going to go back to sleep for a while. Calm as his is, he feels thoughts creeping into his conscious mind, and that's always a sure sign that sleep has fled from him.
Adam snuffles softly beside him, shifting in his sleep before settling back down against the pillow. Tommy turns and looks at him, a dark outline in the bed, and feels Adam's hand against his arm, sleep warm and enough contact to help him sle

When Tommy finally gets back to the house, he leans back against the front door, his body sagging with weariness. He closes his eyes and lets his head fall back, lets the thoughts running fast and unchecked in his mind go by without paying much attention to them. Without thinking, he lets his hand pat the pocket in his jacket, his fingers tracing the cheap phone through the leather. He and Nick had gotten them after leaving the diner. They didn't want to take a chance on anyone being able to trace their calls.
He hears the soft crinkle of the envelope next to the phone, and he reaches inside his pocket and draws it out. He opens the envelops

He loved horrors, they never scared him but made him laugh, he was a quiet and kept to himself, but everyone respected him for that. Whenever he partied he partied hard and always enjoyed the moments.

The small figure curled up against the dumpster in a cardboard box that was in okay shape. Good enough to keep his body heat close. A tiny sigh frosted the air in front of his face as the person ducked his head to rest it on his knees. Long fingered thin hands wrapped around his legs, hugging himself. Some matted, dirty blonde hair fell against one arm from the second hand toque he wore.
To anyone casually passing the alleyway, the person would have been completely missed, as he had learned long ago to hide your location, your home. Garbage bags piled high around his trembling form, creating his own wall of protection. Whether it was benef

Chapter 3:
I woke quickly, eyes snapping open but keeping my body still, knowing I had to try and figure out where I was. However, I was not expecting blue silk and a comfortable surface.
My limbs were also free to move as I cautiously sat up, looking around.
Through the gauzy bed curtains there was a room of white walls and fine, dark oak furniture... or some other dark stained wood. The carpet was a plush sea of dark grey illuminated by a large window with a seat beside it. It seemed to be overlooking something with trees, as there was one in sight from where I lay. There was a small blue and white couch just out of the corner of my s

"How the hell did you get out of there, Lambert?" our leader asked when we made it back to the camp.
"I jumped, Sir. It wasn't that far a fall."
"That's two stories."
"Two and a half," someone corrected before going back to their food.
The commander looked at me expectantly.
"It hurt, Sir, but I survived."
"Well... good job." Then he was marching out to most likely go look at some maps or polish his weapon or something. He was a stiff, orderly man, but he did care about the people he was in charge of.
"You should head to Doc to get it checked, Ad. You were limping all the way back." I just nodded and headed back to my ten

Chapter 1: A Ghost;
Dust was only just beginning to settle, and although the mask obscured my vision, I knew better then to take it off as we darted from cover to cover in the rubble the explosion had left behind.
Taking it off would mean risking our health and only winding up slowing down the company by coughing and giving away our position.
Orders were being shouted above the din, but my ears were ringing too loudly to hear anything, so I just followed the silhouette of the guy ahead of me.
Eventually the main body of our men ended up in a decrepit building, crouching in the shadow of the crumbling wall. At this point I was able to
True Love by Fate
It was a dark and stormy night. An unnatural haze lingered over the house. In his bed, Adam shivered. For a summer night, the air was cold and the sky was black. It was almost as if something evil lurked out there in the shadows.
Adam rolled over, clutching his pillow, and tried to fall back asleep. But a worry nagged in the back of his mind. Something was not right. No matter how he tried, some ghostly force prevented him from sleeping. It made him uneasy. With a sigh, he rolled out of bed, and dressed, and poured himself a cup of water from the pitcher on his nightstand. Quietly, he left his room.
The halls were silent
As I sat in my apartment, the rest of Adam Lamberts' fans waited for the inevitable- for him to get back together with Sauli Koskinen. It would happen sooner or later; for pete's sake they spent a vacation together over Christmas!
And here I was, watching some moron try to figure out how to start a truck with a button while I slouched on the couch drinking a beer, forgotten. Adam hadn't made contact with me in months; and though we had both gone our own ways long ago, it still hurt. We used to have the kind of relationship that would never end. And then it did.
It had come as a slow shock. I just stopped going when I was invited. I stoppe

Adam's POV:
I was working on a float that said how far it was to the next Station when I saw him. Only a shadow against another nearby float: Nobody came up here. And it was not another repairman; not in the middle of my section. Then I blinked, and it was gone.
But I knew I had not been seeing a wishful thought. Not with something as out of place as a human shaped shadow.
I grabbed my line and was on the float in seconds, not needing my Flyer to get over a patch of sky that was only twenty meters. My jacket flared behind me and I mentally made a reminder to zip it up before I did that again. I did not feel like dying because my coat ho
